| In 2001, I decided I wanted my own business. My sons suggested I open a skate shop since there was none in our area at the time. After some long hours of research and with the help of my husband, Mike, and my sons, Doug and Joe, I was able to get it done. On August 1, 2002 we opened Wood and Wheels Skate Shop. Our plans were to give our customers a variety to choose from and we feel we have accomplished that and more. We, at Wood and Wheels, do not wish to compete with the larger retail operations. We are extremely focused on providing only the highest quality skate products, and do not follow what might be the "trend" at that time. Our customer base largely consists of experienced skaters who have high expectations for the equipment they use and demand nothing short of the best. Wood and Wheels delivers just that.
